3M Open
The 3M Open is an annual golf tournament held at the TPC Golf Course in Blaine, MN. Each year 3M Consumer Division’s marketing team endeavors to up the ante on the previous year's innovations. From 2018 to 2023, I’ve participated in making their event dreams into realities for attendees.
Hospitality Tent LogoA massive vinyl 3M Science Applied to Life logo applied to the roof of the event’s hospitality tent.
Wrapped in HappinessIn partnership with the Children's Masonic Hospital, artwork from children in treatment was turned into vinyl wraps and applied to oversized, polyresin golf balls.
3M Thinsulate Insulation + Athleta Clothing Display This display illustrates the sustainability of 3M Thinsulate Insulation. Used to insulate a range of Athleta parkas, Thinsulate is created using recycled plastic bottles. Each white line represents enough bottles to line 25 parkas.
3M Open Logo Weathervane Sculpture A 8ft tall functioning weathervane designed in the shape of the 3M Open logo.
3M Dichroic Butterflies DisplayThese 10x6ft LED lit displays were strung with 10,000s of Minnesota native butterflies printed on iridescent Dichroic vinyl.

3M Hospitality Suite Dichroic & Matte Black EntranceThe design for the Hospitality Suite Entrance was created to showcase 3M Dichroic vinyl film and black matte 2080-M12 vinyl wrap film,
3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive DP420 Swingset This interactive display demonstrates the strength of 3M Scotch-Weld Epoxy Adhesive DP420. The entire display is held together with the adhesive. The same technology is also used in aircrafts, automobiles, and even golf clubs.
Commercial Solutions Division Mini Golf HolesDesigned and developed small scale versions of the back nine holes TPC Twin Cities Championship Golf Course. Each hole was entirely made of 3M Commercial products at the request of the client.
Scotch-Brite™ Sponge MapThe TPC Twin Cities course map made entirely of Scotch-Brite™ sponges, (except for acrylic signage). This display showcased a consumer product in a whole new light.
Window Graphics at the 3M Open Hotel Event Space/b>Double-sided paneled window graphics featuring white ink.
Prince Golf Tee Installation3M requested an art installation that combined golf and famous Minnesota resident Prince. This 4x8ft installation was created using three tones of purple golf tees.
16ft Tall 3D CubeThis display was installed as a water hazard on the 18th hole of the TPC Twin Cities course. After the 3M Open 2018, it enjoyed a residency in the quad of 3M's headquarters.
